NevadaRecycles, a program of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), is committed to reducing waste and increasing recycling opportunities in the great state of Nevada. If you have recycling or composting questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!
Preserving, protecting and enhancing these wonders is the responsibility of the more than 900 employees of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Through their dedication and professionalism, Nevada continues to be one of the wealthiest states in the nation in terms of natural resources.
NevadaRecycles promotes recycling, waste reduction, resource conservation, preservation and sustainability through education, public and private collaboration, and facilitation of partnerships with the public, educational institutions, private companies, non-profits, and other governmental organizations and agencies.
Established in 1992, NevadaRecycles has been striving for a 25% recycling rate for the state. Nevada first achieved that rate in 2011 recycling 25.3% and again in 2012 with a 28.8% recycling rate. However, rates have declined since then as reported rates for 2013 were 25.1%, 23.4% in 2014, and 20.8% in 2015. Please help us meet and exceed that goal!
